Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Worker
Location: Calgary, AB

Maintenance Worker Job Overview:

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for providing light general contractor and related services to existing and new commercial clients. Responsibilities include minor repairs and maintenance in plumbing, carpentry, interior/exterior painting, drywall, electrical work, heating/cooling, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve clients in a polite and professional manner
  • Gather required tools and supplies specific to each job/repair
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, appliances, and other items
  • Maintain client data and update work order information
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Work independently while managing time and adapting to changing service schedules
  • Perform tasks within service guidelines and seek appropriate approval for safety-sensitive situations
  • Other duties as required per business needs

Skills and Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service and listening skills
  • Proficiency in using job-related tools and equipment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively analyze, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Good understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Education and Experience:

  • Previous related experience is an asset
  • Trades-related ticket/education is considered an asset
  • Acceptable security and criminal record check
